First is the commander of the Regiment, Elisha B. Smith, in civilian dress. The second is a soldier in uniform that I have not been able to identify as of yet. The book must have belonged to the Eccleston family of Dolgeville, NY as it is signed "D.J. Eccleston, Dolgeville, N.Y. May 1st" and "Albert Eccleston No. 2. Nov. 1896" and on the next page "Dwight Eccelston, Sherburne 4 Court Nov. 7, 1891." The first few pages of the volume are loose, there is some foxing on some pages. Cloth cover has chips and is loose at front. A scarce volume. $150
